Thanks to You, The Hope Grows
As
our commitment to helping more children affected by AIDS grows, so does our
need for more space. Hope House has successfully completed a $1,000,000
expansion campaign entitled Build Some Hope!
Many wonderful donors helped make this dream a reality including a $250,000
gift from the Plough Foundation and a $250,000 gift from a generous
anonymous donor. Construction is finally done! This space which is next door
our original house will afford Hope House its first full service kitchen and
double our enrollment to approximately 70 children total.
The opening in October, 2003 marked the culmination of a three-year capital campaign that
helped to purchase the home next door and its refurbishment. You’ll be amazed
at the transformation of this Midtown home into a quality day care facility.
The current Hope House will be utilized for infants and toddlers, and
the newer home will be used for the older children, ages 3, 4, and 5. Some
new features of the home include state-of-the-art playground equipment;
Explorer computers which are specifically designed for children; and, a
library/computer
resource room where parents can access information about their disease, and
learn computer basics for future employment. Please join us!
Hope House needs you to continue to make our mission a success.
Here's how you can help!
