Recommendations to the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU which started on the 1st July. In them we make specific suggestions, aligned with the Presidency’s programme, on how to best address and support children in institutional care and their transition back to safe and caring families in both the EU internal and external action.
The upcoming Belgian Presidency will play a strategic role in steering the EU agenda in the course of its mandate, setting the stage for the following Presidency. This is a key opportunity to further strengthen the EU’s global leadership on care reform.
